Ep. 4
Frank Connelly, Stepping Forward LA

Empowering former foster youth ageing out of the system

In This Episode

Disciple’s Community Experience Manager, Valentina has a conversation with Frank Connolley, President of Hero Bridge, the technology that helps support the community Stepping Forward LA. He shares why it’s important to help ageing-out foster youth prepare for life through their own “private social media”, giving them the opportunity to learn new skills and create and achieve goals through access to resources and programs using folders based on their needs and interests directly in their own private community App.

Who’s on this episode

Frank is a former corporate risk management and public interest lawyer, who now produces branded social impact entertainment designed to create measurable social change. He is currently working with Al Roker Entertainment to produce diversity, equity & inclusion content for TV, and sits on the board of the Social Impact Entertainment Society.

His technology company “Hero Bridge” is a digital media exchange that brings together resources, mentorship and engagement for vulnerable communities. At the end of 2020, he launched with Disciple the first app version of “Hero Bridge” for Stepping Forward LA, a co-mentor community app to inspire and activate Los Angeles’ ageing-out foster youth.
